Profile
Zero Waste Westsite is a 90-day call to action community initiative pilot project aimed at reducing waste on the Westside of Atlanta through food recovery and composting. The initiative was launched by Goodr, Truly Living, and Green Is Lyf to raise awareness in the community about everyday waste and provide education and resources to reduce the communities footprint through composting. Jasmine Crowe, founder and CEO of Goodr proposes, “We have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on food waste on the Westside.”
The Saporta Report explains, “The project is geared toward residents and local companies, and so far, the outreach team has engaged around 2,000 residents, several companies and taught about 700 schoolchildren about the importance of sustainability practices in everyday life.”
Westside residence ready to start composting can bring compost to Truly Living Well Collegetown Farm Community Composting Lab (1040 Westview Dr, Atlanta, GA 30310).
Businesses on the Westside who sign-up with the project will receive their first 30 days of Goodr’s Organics Recycling service for free. Your organics will be sent to Truly Living Well for composting.
